Thanks to the patented Vortex Killer System, the geometries of the lower part of the new helmet have been redesigned and the edges of the helmet shell rounded off. Thanks to these solutions, Boost 01 meets the specifications of the aerodynamic shape par excellence, the NACA profile. This means that Boost01 can reduce the air turbulence that forms in the athlete's shoulder area by stabilising the air flow and significantly improving aerodynamics. Structure in Mold Technology
Rudy Project's primary goal is to minimise the consequences of accidents. For this reason, Rudy Project uses proven In Mould technology, wherein the protective polystyrene mass (EPS) is directly injected into the polycarbonate shell to create a significantly stronger, more shock-resistant and lightweight structure. The combination of EPS, the polycarbonate shell and the exoskeleton offers the best protection against the mechanical effects of a fall by distributing the energy optimally onto the structure and thus protecting the helmet wearer from the consequences of a fall.
Rudy Project supports IceDot technology and offers a one-year free registration for this innovative emergency service for selected helmets. Universal Dorsal Ridge
The newly defined Dorsal Rigde helps to convert sides into forward forces. Thanks to the new flatter profile, the Boost 01 is even more versatile in constantly changing wind directions and reduces the forces on the driver's neck.
Directional or torque is the natural reaction of a wing shape to wind forces and is the main cause of discomfort for the rider on the neck, especially in long-distance races. The Boost 01 offers more than 12 percent drag reduction compared to a traditional road helmet and a 65 percent reduction in neck torque.
