More and more bikers are discovering the freedom and driving pleasure that E-MTBs offer them. And because the drive technologies of these advanced "driving machines" are getting better and better, the components have to do the same. This is where the new E-XA35 Elite comes in.
It is designed to provide e-mountain bikers with the performance and durability they desperately need in tough trail use. That's why the E-XA35 Elite is based on Mavic's enormous expertise in wheel construction and features e-bike-specific innovations such as PFP (Pinch Flat Protection).
The higher weight and driving power of the E-MTBs demand a super-stable, durable wheel. That's why the E-XA35 Elite is based on an extra wide, lightweight and robust rim with 35 mm jaw width.
Thanks to Mavic's patented ISM 4D weight tunings, this rim saves any excess material and makes faster acceleration and more driving dynamics possible. The unique asymmetric rim profile with PFP rim horns helps prevent punctures or damage to the rims from rocks or other trail obstacles.
The rim is "UST Tubeless Ready", making the increased traction and control of voluminous tubeless tyres (up to 3.20") easy to experience. It has 28 straight aero spokes at the front and 28 straight spokes at the rear. And the Instant Drive 360 freewheel guarantees dynamic handling with its fast frictional connection.
The E-XA35 Elite is boost compatible and can be driven with HG or XD cassettes (with optional freewheel body).
E-MTB-specific design for even better performance
PFP (Pinch Flat Protection) rim horns minimize the risk of rim damage and punctures. Extra hardened freewheel body. More spokes and a larger hub flange diameter correspond to the increased loads.

Optimized spoking (28 straight spokes) and wheel construction - designed to meet the requirements of E-MTBs but with low weight. Instant Drive 360 freewheel with extra precise spur toothing for maximum agility. Special rim profile and number of spokes, designed for the higher weight of E-MTBs.
