Super Record Ergopower shift/brake handle
New Ergopower Super Record mechanical levers for 12x2 speed disc brake: Ergonomics, comfort, control, precision. The new mechanical levers Ergopower Super Record 12x2 speed disc brake offer an important new feature: two brake lever positions for optimum adjustment of the distance lever/ handlebar to the rider's hand.
It does so whilst keeping braking efficiency constant the new angle of the up-shifting lever that prevents any possible contact with the curve of the handlebar. The lever position is set easily and safely by direct actuation of the operating elements. The new Vari-Cushion technology improves the contact surface and enables an ergonomic, comfortable and secure grip, ideal for riders who are in the saddle for many hours. The inners of the controls boast a concentration of technologies and experience, starting with the “one lever-one action” feature that assigns one function to each lever in order to prevent shifting errors when tired or distracted. This is followed by the option for multiple shifting that enables upshifting up to 3 sprockets at a time and downshifting up to 5 through the Ultra-Shift mechanism. The new Super Record 12x2 Speed disc brake levers introduce a double curvature to improve grip, which are lightened by three slots.
Comfortable support - Vari-Cushion
The controls enable a solid, safe grip when pedalling out of the saddle or gripping high on the handlebar.
Immediate shifting engagement enables activating the front derailleur with minimum effort and in any hand position on the handlebar.
Multiple shifting - Ultra-Shift
An unplanned ascent, a sudden jerk: it takes barely a moment to find the right ratio owing to the multiple action of the controls. Super accurate gear shifting quickly helps you find the right gear.
The shape of the body and the possibility to adjust the reach enable all cyclists to use these controls, regardless of the size of their hands or fingers.
Double curvature on the brake lever
Maximum safety when using from any position: both on the drops and on the hoods.
Campagnolo brake calipers: powerful, flexible and reliable
Thanks to 22 mm diameter pistons, Campagnolo's flat-mount calipers provide powerful and easily controlled braking power at all times. The pads are reset without friction by the magnet system when the brake lever is released. A special metal plate between brake pad and brake caliper piston dampens vibrations during braking. Campagnolo's various caliper models can be fitted to user’s disc of choice and meet the highest performance requirements: In addition to the specific front brake caliper for 160 mm-diameter discs, rear brake calipers are also available for 160 or 140 mm-diameter discs. Special attention was also paid to facilitating maintenance and assembly work: The brake pads, which are equipped with a wear indicator, are easily replaceable, as they do not require return springs. The focus was also on installing the disc in the brake calliper to simplify and accelerate wheel changes.
